Last week, we had friends from Japan on their honeymoon visit us. We did not want to disturb them whilst on a honeymoon but they insisted that we go to dinner with them. Since they have been in Hawaii for about a week now, they had a craving for Japanese food. So, we took them to KAIWA in the Waikiki Beach Walk area. None of the teishoku stuff but some good quality sashimi and tantalizing teppan dishes. Oh and of course, they have Sushi!

Well, I hate to admit it once again but I got carried away eating all the good foods that I forgot to take my pictures. So, I decided to take pictures of the desserts that we ordered.
The first one is called Sakura Monaka Ice. I like to call it Sakura ice Monaka because the ice cream is made with sakura or cherry blossoms with a very
sophisticated flavor. The second item was the Maccha Azuki Ice. Azuki beans, ice cream and maccha shaved ice. I am sure it takes a great deal of time creating this item. The last item was sliced strawberries. We actually did not order this but since our friends were on their honeymoon, our waithelp gave this to us. How nice!
