Fun Fair!!!

Hahaione Elementary School just had their Fun Fair about two weeks ago.  I can recall when I was at Ala Wai Elementary School and we had our Fun Fair but it sure was not like this one!

Well, some of it was similar, especially the games that were made utilizing items that were readily available at the school like this picture of the Bottle Ring Toss.  One of the few things that were different was that after playing a game, we used to get a prize right away but at this Fun Fair, one gets a ticket.  Accumulating a certain number of tickets will get you a better or bigger prize at this Ticket Redemption Center.  I guess we are now teaching the children to be able to make their own decisions at an earlier age.

Here is a picture of a Dunking Booth.  In my days, school teachers or even the school principal would sit above the water waiting to be dunked.  Practically everyone would line up for a chance to dunk the school principal or their "favorite" teacher.

We definitely did not have things like this, an inflatable obstacle course.  There were also miniature versions of the rides that one can find at the larger carnivals in Hawaii.  

The last picture shows a miniature version of the swing ride which I think used to be called the YOYO?  There also was a ride that looked like parts of a pineapple but the movements were similar to that of the Scrambler.  They even had a Rock Climbing Wall and a Trampoline with Bungee cords for safety.  Now the Trampoline was something that I wanted to try for myself!  

The Fun Fair came to a close as soon as the sun went down and it seems like everyone had a great time.
