The last time I ate a homemade bento was before high school. When I used to go to Japanese School on Saturdays, my mom made bento for me and my sister. My sister had one of those Keroppi bento boxes but I used to have a Tupperware like container.
Come to think of it, whenever there was a need for home lunch for school, we always had a boxed lunch. The other students usually had a sandwich or even musubis for lunch.

Here is a picture of the bento before I cleaned out the contents.
It is nice to have someone make a bento boxed lunch. It brings back memories of childhood days. Especially in the midst of busy, everyday life, it is a pleasant surprise to open a bento box and find at least one of your favorite items included.
Today, it was the shrimp shumai tucked behind the juicy tonkatsu.
My wife made this bento for me. It was delicious! Oishikatta!
